Our five-day Training Camp in Barbados, to prepare for the upcoming Champions trophy in England, has started well.
Despite the heavy showers and humid conditions, the team has managed to make the most of the facilities available to them at the Sagicor High Performance Centre and of their time together as a squad.
Sessions so far have focused on replicating the swing and seam conditions for the batsmen that the team expects to encounter playing in England in May and early June.
Middle practices, technical fielding drills, fitness and psychology group and one-to-one sessions have provided variety and an holistic approach to the team’s preparation.
two more days of match scenario and net practices remain before the side flies to London on Saturday for a further week of preparation in Cardiff.
Morale and motivation remain high and recalled opener Devon Smith is in wonderful form with the willow.
